What Is It
The Squeem Miracle Vest is shapewear offered in both black and beige colors from Extra-Small to 5XL. The Miracle Vest looks like a modern-day corset with a line of hook-and-eye closures around the front with arm straps that go around the back for a cup-less corset look. The Squeem Miracle Vest includes adjustable bra straps and underarm spandex along with Squeem’s classic Comfort Fit technology.
The Squeem Miracle Vest is designed to reduce up to four inches from your waistline, lift the breasts, and flatten the tummy. Along with that, it provides back support which will help you improve your posture since it’s much harder to slouch in a support garment.
The Squeem Miracle Vest can be worn for up to 8 to 10 hours every day. If you haven’t worn shapewear before, you should pay special attention to make sure that you slowly work your body into it by starting with only a couples hours at a time. The website even gives you instructions on how to wear the Squeem and how to best put it on.
The Squeem Miracle Vest seemed to, for me, provide something that other shapewear doesn’t, and that’s the support of the bust. Most other shapewear only really flattens the tummy and midsection, but with the straps on this one, the Squeem Miracle Vest does push up the bust as well which can help keep things perky. Mind you, I still recommend you wear a bra with this, but it helps squeeze in the side of your bust as well as remove some of that under-bra back squishiness as well.
What I really wanted the Squeem Miracle Vest shapewear for was for back support. I have this horrible habit of slouching that developed from when I was younger. The Squeem Miracle Vest does help with that. The boning doesn’t “keep” me from slouching, but with the better look and the pushed-up bust, it does remind me to stand tall a lot more than not wearing it does. I find that I have better posture when wearing the Squeem Miracle Vest which is really nice.
Don’t really expect this to do too much more than your average shapewear does for your figure. What it does do, however, that other shapewear doesn’t do, is be MUCH easier to get into. Do you know that feeling with regular shapewear where you tug and pull and squirm and pretty much feel out of breath after you do have the darned things on? I hate that! I hate it so much! With the Squeem Miracle Vest, the little hooks are on the front, so you just wear the item like a vest and fasten up all of the hooks. If you’re having issues or finding it difficult, you can lay on your back on a bed to move around your weight to make it even easier. It’s almost like putting on a comfortable, warm blanket tightly around your body; it’s actually very simple and makes no dent or annoyance in my daily routine.
I am really in love by how it looks. Instead of looking like the spandex, too-tight garments that have to be rolled onto your body, the Squeem Miracle Vest shapewear (like the Squeem Perfect Waist shapewear), looks like a corset. As many women wear corsets as lingerie, this doesn’t stand out as being awkward or ugly with clothing off. Honestly, it looks like it could be one of my pieces of lingerie, and it just looks VERY sexy instead of looking awkward.
It does change how clothing fits too. It brings in your body to let clothing hang more smoothly on your torso. Instead of having clothing clinging to my waist or tummy, the Squeem Miracle Vest keeps the clothing from clinging to anything, and the clothing hangs freely instead of clinging. While I didn’t notice too much of a difference to my bust, my partner says that, the smoother and flatter stomach coupled with the push-up of the Squeem does make the bust look much, much more supportive and larger. Almost like the bust was put on a “pedestal” if that makes any sense.
It seems to be pretty invisible under most clothing as well. As long as the Squeem hasn’t bunched up in any areas, you really can’t view it underneath semi-tight clothing. If it’s body-tight, you can see it, but with my tank tops and speghetti-strap tanks, you can’t see it through the material. If you have a low-cut back top, though, you can see the back portion of the Squeem Miracle Vest, but it is easily fixed by throwing on a shrug or picking up a Squeem Perfect Waist shapewear that doesn’t have the upper bust portion that the Squeem Miracle Vest does.
The only complaint that I really have about the Squeem is that it tends to roll up around the bottom. I think this is because of my large hips (I have about a 12″ difference between my waist and hip measurements), but this leads to the Squeem Miracle Vest rolling up awkwardly when sitting (though it doesn’t take much to roll back down) and needing to be readjusted when standing after sitting. When it rolls up, it also makes the base of the Squeem Miracle Vest poke slightly uncomfortable into my butt as well, but that can be fixed with pulling it down a bit. It does require readjustment regularly for me because of those issues, but even with that, this is still my go-to shapewear for daily wear. Squeem suggested that I wear a camisole under the Squeem Miracle Vest, though, and that did help reduce some of my issues. Spanx works well for plus-size shapewear, but it’s just a pain in the butt to put on for a regular day. For regular days (or days when I know that I want my underclothing to look nice), the Squeem Miracle Vest is a much better choice for me.
It does flatten out the stomach, and it helps remind you to keep your posture straight. It seems to push up the breasts a bit more too, so you just end up with a figure that looks like you have curves on your bum and breasts – just what most of us want!
Depending on how large your bum is, the back boning portions can sometimes poke you in the bum in some sitting positions, and it’s slightly uncomfortable. It also does have a slight rubber smell at first, but it goes away after a couple wearings.
I definitely recommend this. With sizing going all the way up to 5XL, this helps flatten out your body, push up your bust, and keep clothes from clinging to you. It’s also extremely easy to put on, and it looks sexy with clothing off – instead of looking awkward like some shapewear can.
